Thank you for inviting me and best of luck in the coming elections. U.S. President G.W.Bush was recently in Rome and said very nice words about Italy.
Ciao,

Why you think Barack Obama is dangerous

By: Tracy Karol

It might be a subtle uneasy feeling…you’re not quite sure what it is about him, but you know something about Barack Obama is a bit, well, frightening. Dangerous, even.

It could be that you aren’t sure if he has socialist tendencies (witness his recent wild popularity in European countries with socialist leanings), or Muslim sympathies (he has received funds and endorsements from Muslim groups and even terrorists). The two are on opposite ends of the spectrum, so you don’t reall… Continue

Barack Obama's Roots: The Muslim Question

The cover of the New York Post this week has everyone talking: some are outraged at the satirical humor, others find it amusing and fodder for the water cooler, while the Obama campaign released a (belated) statement saying that while it didn’t bother him personally, it was an insult to Muslin Americans.

Just in case you’ve missed it, the cover features Barack and Michelle Obama as fist-bumping radicals – Obama dressed in Muslim garb, Michelle in camo and toting a rifle, while an American flag… Continue

Barack Obama and Catholics: A game of hide and seek

Barack Obama may quite well be the luckiest man in America.

Somehow, he’s managed to play a balancing act with the far left – making promises about so many different things to different audiences I don’t know how he keeps them straight. (I’ll hit on those later).

But his latest flip flop as he courts Independents, moderates and even goes after President Bush’s faith-based initiatives have to take the cake. Somehow he’s managed to get the support of a group called Roman Catholics for Obama.

I… Continue

Hit me with your best shots...

But you can't have it both ways, Obama

It's inevitable. I'm a woman, I supported Hillary Clinton during the primary, so the first question to be thrown my way, when I announce my unwavering support for John McCain, is some variant of this: "But he will make sure abortions are illegal – what about Roe v. Wade?"

That's actually a rather nice way of putting it. For example, at a friend's house last week, a woman who supports Obama first asked me if I was afraid of change (actually yes, I'm afraid… Continue

Typical Political Ploy, Obama

According to, well, just about any news channel or website I visited last night and this morning, the Obamas are donating $4600 to the Hillary campaign to help her pay off her campaign debt. What a kind gesture, one might think. NOT.

This is a blatant political stunt on the part of Barack Obama; his only reason for doing this (in such a public manner) is an attempt to woo Hillary supporters leaning toward John McCain. If he were truly donating out of the kindness of his heart (and it's really s… Continue

How Does Obama Reconcile This?
Current mood: calm
Category: News and Politics

The latest story to hit the news threw me for a bit of a loop, I have to say. Being pro death penalty and seeing Obama come out blasting the Supreme Court for knocking down a case (which never had a chance anyway; it already knocked down the age in which states could put inmates to death up to 18, no matter how heinous the crime) in which children were raped.

Don't get me wrong -- I'm all f… Continue

My Disenchantment with the DNC

I wrote this email in response to John Edwards' endorsement of Barack Obama, back when I was still a bit naive. The beginning is an explanation of what led up to the events...

My disenchantment with the DNC/Letter to John Edwards

While I have always been Independent, I have often voted in Presidential elections for the Democratic candidate. I started this year supporting Hillary Clinton and many times called the DNC to report abuses (voter fr… Continue

Barack Obama asking ME for Money?

Obama asking ME for money?
We all heard the news, that Barack Obama chose to forego the public finance system and raise money on his own for his political campaign. Typical political ploy, and another lie on his part when he promised to use the system early on in the campaign. Well, now he's using his massive database to send out emails to raise money for the DSCC as well (that's the committee tasked with getting Democrats elected as senators throughout the nation). Of course, with Obama's massi… Continue

Some Reasons I Support John McCain

We started this campaign with three major candidates still in the running. I won't lie and say I backed John McCain as my first choice from the beginning, although when the Republican primaries were going on I remember being elated that he got the nomination. Why? Because I have ALWAYS loved John McCain. I voted for him in the 2000 primary and have followed his career ever since, and made a point of researching him. He simply fascinated me. I loved that he was a maverick who bucked the system. H… Continue
