The cover of the New York Post this week has everyone talking: some are outraged at the satirical humor, others find it amusing and fodder for the water cooler, while the Obama campaign released a (belated) statement saying that while it didn’t bother him personally, it was an insult to Muslin Americans.

Barack Obama may quite well be the luckiest man in America.


Somehow, he’s managed to play a balancing act with the far left – making promises about so many different things to different audiences I don’t know how he keeps them straight. (I’ll hit on those later).

It's inevitable. I'm a woman, I supported Hillary Clinton during the primary, so the first question to be thrown my way, when I announce my unwavering support for John McCain, is some variant of this: "But he will make sure abortions are illegal – what about Roe v. Wade?"

According to, well, just about any news channel or website I visited last night and this morning, the Obamas are donating $4600 to the Hillary campaign to help her pay off her campaign debt. What a kind gesture, one might think. NOT.

We all heard the news, that Barack Obama chose to forego the public finance system and raise money on his own for his political campaign. Typical political ploy, and another lie on his part when he promised to use the system early on in the campaign. We started this campaign with three major candidates still in the running. I won't lie and say I backed John McCain as my first choice from the beginning, although when the Republican primaries were going on I remember being elated that he got the nomination. Why?
